Thanks for starting off your weekend for some geekery with Nerdy by Nature. We’re taking Game Night to mobile. Enjoy!
Clash Royale has been out for about a year; however, Chris and Elijah finally caught up to Nathan’s smartphone tech and recently received devices that can sufficiently handle the excitement of Clash Royale (Yes – Chris had a Moto Razr flip for way too long).
Supercell, the brain-child behind this mobile wonder, have a collection of mobile games to keep your senses tingling at home, on your commute, or while waiting for your partner to decide which fashion accessory to purchase during a window-shopping escapade. This quirky and fun company brings a unique brand with a community-focus to help keep Clash Royale at the forefront of your app list. As well, this two-player real-time strategy has recently celebrated it’s one year anniversary (which is huge for mobile games).
This freemium (free to play with in-app purchases) game is a “real-time multiplayer game starring the Royales, your favourite Clash characters and much, much more. Collect and upgrade dozens of cards featuring the Clash of Clans troops, spells and defenses you know and love, as well as the Royales: Princes, Knights, Baby Dragons and more. Knock the enemy King and Princesses from their towers to defeat your opponents and win Trophies, Crowns and glory in the Arena.” – Supercell, via clashroyale.com. In the event you have joined a most rediculous duel late (as two-thirds of your fav Canadian Nerds have), you will thank us for watching 60-second tv ad to explain the game and Supercell’s personality all at once.
Having difficulty getting to the next battle arena? Check out the forums to join a clan, discuss strategy, or learn how to balance your card deck here.
Throughout this episode, we chat about what we enjoy about this mobile game, our strategies, and Nathan’s secret binary sauce for success. Do you have a clan, your own strategy, or want to share your favourite battle deck / card? Let us know in the comments below, or feel free to share your performance with us on twitter!
May the cards be forever in your favour and the elixir may never go empty. 🙂
